The purpose of this page is to facilitate the B6 Warriors NXT virtual training for the Fall 2025 season.
What is New
No homework for session 1. The boys should come with a pen and paper to session one in order to write down their goals for soccer, the season, and enabling goals.
Training Outcome:
The purpose of this training is to help the players better tactically analyze a soccer game and improve their mental performance. The desired outcomes are:
- Players are better able to tactically analyze an opponent on the soccer field during the game
- Players mental performance in the realm of dealing with pressure, focus, and visualization is improved
Standard Session Overview
Sessions will normally be held on every other Thursday evenings via zoom from 7:30-8:30 pm. The session will focus on tactical analysis for about 30 minutes and then mental performance for about 30 minutes. All of these sessions are completely optional for players.

Game
This is a 9v9 game between a team called Man City MANC (red/maroon) and Real Madrid RMA (white). These players are your age. Through much of our Spring season we will progressively watch this game using it as our focus for tactical analysis.

Mental Performance
We are going to discuss and write down our goals. We are going to discuss why it is important to have goals and what impact clear goals have on your game.
Each player will create and write down the following goals:
- Long term goal: An aspirational, motivational and long term goal.
- Season goal or goals: What do you want to accomplish this season?
- Enabling goals: Quantifiable targets for actions you are going to take that will enable you to achieve your season goal.
Tactical Analysis
We are going to rewatch the first 7 minutes or so of the Roma (Maroon) vs Borussia (Yellow) game. We are focusing on:
- Each teams formation on offense and defense
- Each teams' style of defense
- Key players
- Recurring patterns

We will begin by reviewing these past subjects.
- Have we recently reviewed our goals we had for the season? How are we doing are meeting them? Are they still relevant?
- Are we doing any box breathing and visualization? How is that going?
Mental Performance
Today we are focusing on what a Growth Mindset is and how we develop one.
